If you are curious about my Yoga teaching style, here are some main points:

  • I am most strongly influenced by Mooji and simply the presence of Being.  Awareness and freedom is the essence of all classes.
  • I do not teach one particular style, but you will notice influences from many traditions – from Ashtanga (using the wonderful Ujjayi breathing for instance) to Sivananda, Vinyasa Flow and the principles of alignment in postures.
  • It is my sincere wish to impart the ancient teachings and wisdom of Yoga. I do not care for perfect looking asanas or the modern practice of yoga where for many, it has become the ego’s new career path!
  • I encourage students to try other styles, to work with different teachers and to incorporate Yoga into their daily life.
  • We meet in the moment. Every moment is fresh!
  • You are already free. You do not need to do advanced practices of Yoga nor years of study and special exercises to realise your freedom. It’s here now. You are not your practice. You are Yoga itself; that which is aware of your practice.
  • Yoga is a way of Being. It is expressed and demonstrated in the space between words – love, compassion, kindness and humility. We are all equal.

A final note:

1. Listen to your body.

2. Follow your heart.

3. Trust your intuition.

“Become loyal to your innermost truth. Follow the way when all others abandon it. Walk the path of your own heart.”
